Jack Kenneth Carpenter

Mr. Jack Kenneth Carpenter, age 82, of Long Shoals Road in Lincolnton, died on Wednesday, March 1, 2017.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Bethel Lutheran Church with Pastor Steven King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Carpenter was born March 22, 1934, in Gaston County, to the late Spargo Randolph Carpenter and Cora Lee Burrell Carpenter. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Lee Carpenter and Keith Carpenter, and a sister, Rachel Rhyne. He retired from Quality Machine and Gear Company, where he was part owner. Mr. Carpenter was a lifelong member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Ingle Carpenter of the home; a daughter, Sherry C. Fowler, and husband Scott, of Lincolnton; a sister, Frances C. McAllister of Lincolnton; one grandson, Christopher Derek Fowler, and wife Christine, of Buford, GA; and two great-granddaughters, Lauralai Fowler and Jacquelyn Fowler, both of Buford, GA.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, 509 Long Shoals Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
