Helen Elizabeth Norwood Lockman

Helen Elizabeth Norwood Lockman, age 95, of Carillon Assisted Living, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Andy Royals officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 12:00 until 1:45 p.m.
Mrs. Lockman was born May 14, 1921, in Lincoln County, to the late Leonard Burt Norwood and Bessie Price Norwood. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, James Elliott Lockman, and a son, Barry Elliott Lockman.
She is survived by a son, Jerry Lockman, and wife Sharon, of Fuqua Varina, NC; a daughter, Janice Peeler Hoyle, and husband Wayne, of Lincolnton; a brother, Harold Norwood of Mt. Holly; a sister, Hilda Norwood of Mt. Holly; seven grandchildren, Jennifer Lockman Wilson, and husband Corey, Jessica Lockman Jackson, and husband Chris, Jeffery Keith Peeler, and wife Nicole, Jonathan Alan Peeler, Julie L. Siomacco, and husband Mike, Cathy L. Sterrett, and husband Rob, and Dana Simpson, and husband Charles; and twelve great-grandchildren, Avery Jackson, Ellie Jackson, Olivia Wilson, Natalie Wilson, Meris Peeler, Vivian Peeler, Adam Bodner, Josh Bodner, Kaitlyn Bodner, Austin Simpson, Savanna Sterrett, and Zoe Sterrett.
