Elvie Huffstetler Gordon

Elvie Huffstetler Gordon, age 77, of Carillon Assisted Living in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.
A private graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Todd Garren officiating.
Mrs. Gordon was born April 26, 1939, in Gaston County, to the late Edgar Ray Huffstetler and Willie Mae Eades Huffstetler. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Samuel R. Gordon; a daughter, Marcia Gordon; and a son, Sammy Gordon. She worked in textiles.
She is survived by two daughters, S. Gaye Knight, and husband David, of Lincolnton, and Caprice Gordon of Mocksville; a son, Joel Gordon, and wife Teresa, of VanBuren, Missouri; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 21347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
