Obituaries

Mrs. Claudette Thornburg Crawley age 72 of Gastonia Highway died on January 7, 2017.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday January 10, 2017 in the Pisgah United Methodist Church, with the Rev. David Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00am until 10:45 am prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Crawley was the daughter of the late D.C. and Claudia Mae Whitesides Thornburg. Mrs. Crawley was also preceded in death by her husband Harold Dean Crawley. She worked as a case worker for the Lincoln County Dept. of Social Services before retiring.

Survivors include:  one son Chad Andrew Crawley and wife Amy of Lincolnton; one brother Calvin Thornburg and wife Cathy of Lincolnton; one sister Jill Putnam and husband David of Shelby; one grandson Conner Andrew Crawley of Lincolnton.
