Shirley J. Homesley

Shirley J. Homesley, age 79, of The Meadows of Anchor Bay in New Baltimore, Michigan, and formerly of Iron Station, NC, went to be with the Lord on October 21, 2016.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel, in Lincolnton, North Carolina, with Rev. Luke Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly, North Carolina. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at Warlick Funeral Home prior to the service.
She is the daughter of the late Beulah Mae (Montgomery) and Waverly “Lefty” Richards of Thomson, Georgia. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Albert Franklin (2014) and son John Martin (1990). She loved to read, play bingo, and watch old westerns, especially John Wayne movies.
Shirley is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Mark Ruprecht of Chesterfield, Michigan; and granddaughter and her husband, Erica (Bednarski) Kevin Smith also of Michigan.
