Donna Lawrence Quates, age 61, of Bill Ledford Road in Vale, died on Wednesday, October 19, 2016.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2016, at Hulls Grove Baptist Church with Mr. Bobby Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Donna was born July 22, 1955, in Watauga County, to Welda Critcher Bishop and the late Earl Lawrence. She worked in daycare.
She is survived by her husband, David Quates of the home; two daughters, Christy Q. Warlick and Jessica Mathis, and husband Ben, all of Vale; one son, Travis Quates, and wife Brooke, of Vale; her mother, Welda C. Bishop of Lincolnton; two brothers, Brian Bishop, and wife Cindy, of Vale, and Ronnie Bishop of Lincolnton; and seven grandchildren, Keely Warlick, McKensi Mathis, Allie Quates, Marlee Warlick, Jaylee Mathis, Braylee Quates, and Paizlee Fox.
