Russell Ernest Fleming, age 78, of Wiltshire Lane in Lincolnton, died on Monday, September 12, 2016.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at Hartman-Sharkey Funeral Home in McComb, Mississippi. Burial will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery in Smithdale, MS. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016, and then again from 11:00 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Fleming was born November 29, 1937, in Smithdale, MS, to the late Ernest Jefferson and Letha Ann Nettles Fleming. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Bell Fleming, and a brother Brennan Fleming. He served in the Air National Guard and then later was a teacher.
He is survived by a son, Russell E. Fleming, Jr. of the home; a daughter, Mary Marchelle Fleming Alexander of Lincolnton; two brothers, Clifton Fleming and Burt Fleming; and a sister, Linda Fleming.
