Johnny Cecil Brooks, Sr.

Johnny Cecil Brooks, Sr., age 71, of Gastonia Highway in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, September 10, 2016.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2016, at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will greet friends graveside following the service.
Johnny was born August 29, 1945, in Lincoln County, to the late Troy J. and Lois Goins Brooks. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Diane Brooks. He worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by three sons, Johnny C. Brooks, Jr., Jimmy W. Brooks, and Jeffery S. Brooks, all of Lincolnton; two brothers, Gene Brooks and Danny Brooks, both of Lincolnton; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
