Betty Lorraine Geyer Ellis

Betty Lorraine Geyer Ellis, age 86, of Courtland Terrace in Gastonia, died on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Puett Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:15 until 2:45 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ellis was born May 31, 1930, in Iroquois, South Dakota, to the late Victor and Lettie Grannis Geyer. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Ellis, Jr.; a daughter, Vicki Engbarth; a grandson, Garett Ellis; and a brother, Bob Geyer. She was a member of Puett Chapel United Methodist Church. Betty worked in textiles.
She is survived by a daughter, Julie Costner, and husband Bobby, of Bessemer City; two sons, Robin Ellis, and wife Sheri, of Riverside, CA and Terry Ellis, and wife Paris, of Moreno Valley, CA; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, 258 E. Garrison Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
