Max "Bud" Wilburn Powell

Mr. Max “Bud” Wilburn Powell, age 77, of 2901 June Bug Road in Vale, died on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 13, 2016, in the Reeps Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Schronce officiating. The family will greet friends following the service.
Mr. Powell was born December 28, 1938, in Lincoln County, to the late Yates and Anne Haynes Powell. He worked as a carpenter.
He is survived by a son, Barney Powell, and wife Tina, of Vale; a daughter, Patsy Stamey, and husband Boyd, of Vale; a sister, Brenda Willis of Cherryville; three grandchildren, David Powell, Jaime Self, and Chad Stamey; and five great-grandchildren.
