Thomas Henry Wilson, Sr.

Thomas “Tommy” Henry Wilson Sr., age 49, of Iron Station, died on Thursday, July 28, 2016.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernie Pettit officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Gardens in Mt. Holly. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Tommy was born September 8, 1966, in Mecklenburg County, to Johnny William Wilson II and Carolyn Oxford Gaynor. He was preceded in death by a sister Merry Leigh Wilson, and grandmother Robena Ewing.
He is survived by a daughter, Amy Wilson Fonseca, and husband Pablo, of Lincolnton; two sons, Thomas Henry Wilson, Jr. and Patton Lee Wilson, both of Iron Station; father, Johnny William Wilson II of Iron Station; mother, Carolyn Oxford Gaynor of Tennessee; girlfriend and mother of Patton, Tammy Loretta Shaffer; divorced wife and mother of Amy and Thomas, Rebecca Wilson of Lincolnton; one brother, John William Wilson III of Oak Island, NC; two sisters, Angela Wilson Freeman, and husband Larry, of Mt. Holly, and Cynthia Wilson Nolen of Lincolnton; and two half sisters, Wendy Heavener of Dallas and Sherry Jackson of Florida.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
