Wilma Jeanne Underwood, 91 years old, widow of Rev. James L. Underwood, II, passed away on July 18, 2016. She was a teacher, a pastor’s wife, a mother of eight, and an inspiration to all that knew her. Wilma Jeanne left the world better than she found it. She will be missed by all whose lives she touched.
The family will receive friends at Warlick Funeral Home in Lincolnton, NC, on Thursday, July 21, 2016, from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m., and on Friday, July 22, 2016, at Flora Funeral Service in Rocky Mount, VA, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. at Flora.
She is preceded in death by sons, James L. Underwood, III, Christopher D. Underwood (Vicki), and daughter Tiahna R. Chambers (Jeff). She is survived by her children, Rebecca J. Smythwood, Daniel L. Underwood (Melody), Stephanie M. Freiburg (Tom), Gina Boston (Steve), and Timothy Todd Underwood (Tammy). She has seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
