Dorothy “Dot” Lee Cooke Edmundson, age 82, of 465 Cat Square Road, Lincolnton died Saturday, July 9, 2016.
Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
Mrs. Edmundson was born on September 12, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Milford Daniel and Mary Lee Ruffin Cooke. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James H. Edmundson and two sons, Ricky Edmundson and Dewey Edmundson. Mrs. Edmundson was a Registered Nurse working at Crowell Hospital and also as Director of Nursing for Lincoln County Hospital.
She is survived by one son, Hans Lee Edmundson and wife, Tonia of the home; two daughters, Gina Carpenter and husband, Paul of Lincolnton and Teresa Castro and husband, Jerry of Lincolnton; eight grandchildren, John Edmundson, Jessica Brady, Heather Carpenter, Colby Carpenter, Paulie Carpenter, Michael Edmundson, Charlie Edmundson and Jamie Edmundson; ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Lincoln County, 2422 Country Club Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
