William Herbert "Bill" Sherrill

William Herbert “Bill” Sherrill, age 61, of 1535 Coffeytown Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Gantt officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Bill was born February 6, 1955, in Lincoln County, to the late Herbert Hoover and Rachel Coffey Sherrill. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Randall Sherrill. He worked as a job superintendent in construction.
He is survived by his wife, Penny Cloninger Sherrill of the home; a stepson, Kelly Homesley (Trudie) of Cherryville; a sister, Lisa Bentley (Derrell) of Lincolnton; two grandchildren, Dayne Homesley and Allie Kay Homesley, both of Cherryville; a nephew, Philip Sain of Cherryville; and a niece, Amanda Bentley of Lincolnton.
Memorials may be made to the Lincoln County Humane Society, PO Box 23, Lincolnton, NC 28093, or to the charity of one’s choice.
