Joyce Laverne Carnes Ramsey

Joyce Laverne Carnes Ramsey, age 78, of 808 Valley Road, Elkton Maryland and formerly of Lincolnton died Thursday, May 26, 2016.
Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jay Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Hollybrook Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ramsey was born on December 21, 1937 and was the daughter of the late James Gilbert and Bertie Branton Carnes. She was also preceded in death by two children, Donna Faye Ramsey and Clifford Todd Ramsey and two brothers, James Newland Carnes and Richard Elliott Carnes. Mrs. Ramsey was a 1954 graduate of Lincolnton High School and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, John Calvin Ramsey of the home; two sons, Scott Ramsey and wife, Darlene of North East, MD and Ronald Ramsey and wife, Nancy of Herndon, VA; one sister, Linda Cook of Lincolnton; one sister-in-law, Brenda Carnes of Lincolnton; three grandchildren, Ryan Ramsey, Stephany Ramsey and Daniel Ramsey.
Memorials may be made to Boger City Wesleyan Church, 2803 East Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
