Carroll Nelson Denton

Mr. Carroll Nelson Denton, age 92, of 359 Eastwood Drive in Lincolnton, died on Sunday, May 8, 2016.
His funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amy Vaughan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Denton was born September 30, 1923 to the late Paul and Ethel Hoffman Denton. He served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. during 1940. Mr. Denton was a retired supervisor in textiles.
Survivors include his wife, Donie Shults Denton of the home; one son, Carroll Nelson Denton, Jr. and wife Alice of Dallas; two step sons, Steve Bailey and wife Jeanne of Vale, Michael Bailey and wife Judy of Taylorsville; two grandsons, Steven Denton and wife Paige of Stanley and Chad Denton of Belmont; two great-grandchildren, Jake Denton and Christian Denton of Stanley.
