Mr. William Allen Champion, age 54 of Cherryville died on Friday, April 8, 2016.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday, April 11, 2016 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cherryville. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
Mr. Champion was born April 8, 1962 in Cleveland County to the late Alton Randy and Vickey Patterson Champion. He was employed as a security guard with Hanes Brand.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Collingwood Champion of the home; one son David Willis of Waco; one daughter, Miranda Bryant of Gastonia; two stepdaughters, Christina Ervin of Crouse and Tammy Clary of Lincolnton; one stepson, Claude Chapman, Jr. of Hickory; four brothers, Eddie Champion of Lincolnton, Gary Champion of Dallas, Bradley Champion of Cherryville and Mark Champion of Gastonia; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
