Obituaries

Joann Hartsoe Hill, age 79, of the Reepsville Road in Vale, died on Wednesday, March 16, 2016.

Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  At other times, the family will be at 4772 Reepsville Road in Vale.

Mrs. Hill was born October 25, 1936, in Lincoln County, to the late Edwin Carl and Kate Gilbert Hartsoe. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son Jimmy Hal Hill, brothers William “Buster” Hartsoe and Ted Hartsoe, and a sister Sandra “Tootie” McCue. Mrs. Hill worked for Lincoln County Schools as a cafeteria worker.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Spencer, and husband Paul, of Vale; two grandchildren, Dustin Hill and Marilyn Hill; three great-grandchildren, Haley Hill, Hunter Hill, and Peyton McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
