Barry E. Friday

Mr. Barry Friday, 73, of Stanley, passed away March 6, 2016.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Faith Baptist Church, 4194 Old Plank Road, Iron Station, NC. Burial will be in the church cemetery immediately following the service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Monday, March 7, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Born January 30, 1943, Barry was the son of Rev. Ernest and Grace Friday. Mr. Friday retired from H&S Lumber Company, House of Doors Division, in Charlotte, NC. Barry was proud to be an Army Veteran. He was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church. Barry enjoyed visiting with friends and family, woodworking, Boy Scouts, camping, and teasing those closest to him. He loved his family dearly and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Barry is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Craig Friday of Charlotte, NC; sister, Judy Friday of Lincolnton, NC; brothers-in-law Joe Rhyne of Lincolnton, Jerry York, and wife Sudie, of Stanley, NC, and M.O. York, and wife Linda, of Mt. Pleasant, SC; nephews, Tim Rhyne, and wife Terri, of Lincolnton, Mike Rhyne, and wife Dana, of Xenia, OH, Chris York of Rockwell; nieces, Donna Blackburn of Lincolnton, Shana Biggerstaff, and husband John, of Mt. Holly, Patricia Williams, and husband Randy, of Stanley; and great-nieces and nephews, Johnathan Biggerstaff, Emily Biggerstaff, Sarah York, Corey York, Caroline York, Brandon Ritter, Samantha Williams, and Mick Williams. Mr. Friday is predeceased by his parents and sisters, Frances Rhyne and Helen Blackburn.
