David Lee Chronister, Sr.

David Lee Chronister, Sr., age 78, of 283 Trey Trail in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, March 5, 2016.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Stanley Spence officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
David was born March 31, 1937, in Catawba County, to the late Paul and Elizabeth Finger Chronister. David was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who was strong in his faith in God and his love for the church. He was a retired pharmacist who graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill. David was an avid Tarheel fan.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Beal Chronister of the home; his children, Lisa Chronister Lee, and husband Larry, of St. Paul, MN, Amy Dellinger Housinger, and husband Brian, of Columbus, NC, David L. Chronister, Jr., and wife Angelia, of Bluefield, VA, and Jana Chronister Krause of Lincolnton; and seven grandchildren, Shahn Chronister Lowe, Kenan Chronister, Shelby Thomas, Laken Chronister, Sam Chronister Lee, Sydney Housinger, and Tinley Chronister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658, or to First Baptist Church, 201 Robin Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
