Linda Gail Engle Fortenberry

Linda Gail Engle Fortenberry, age 71, of John Chapman Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2016.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016, at David Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Benjamin Ramseur and Rev. Richard Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fortenberry was born January 8, 1945, in Lincoln County, to the late Summey and Nancy Jane York Engle. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Velma Chatman. She worked for Mohican Mills for 50 years.
She is survived by her husband, Walter Fortenberry of the home; a son, Jason Fortenberry, and fiance Bobbie Newgard, of Lincolnton; one brother, John Ingle of Newton; two sisters, Nancy Gates of High Shoals and Sarah Ledbetter of Lincolnton; and one grandson, Joshua Hunter Fortenberry.
