Muriel "Bill" Franklin Richards

Mr. Muriel “Bill” Franklin Richards, age 94, of 1232 Bolton Lane in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, February 11, 2016.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bud Painter officiating. Burial will follow in the Richards Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Richards was born August 31, 1921, in Lincoln County, to the late George and Essie Chapman Richards. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Beulah Grant Richards, a son Harry Richards, a daughter Jeanette Canipe, and two grandsons Michael Keever and Timmy Brooks. He served in the United States Army and then later worked as a truck driver.
He is survived by two sons, Tommy Grant of Maiden and Bill “Joe” Richards, Jr. of Lincolnton; three daughters, Brenda “Inez” Rudisill, Zettie Rudisill, and Mildred Anthony, all of Lincolnton; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
