James "Jim" Austin Lockman

Mr. James “Jim” Austin Lockman, age 74, of Hill Road in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2016.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Spencer officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Lockman was born March 23, 1941, in Lincoln County, to the late A.A. “Bub” Lockman and Sarah Cauble Lockman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Faye Warlick Lockman, and a brother Tommy Lockman. He was the retired co-owner of Iron Station Suprette.

He is survived by two daughters, Karen Lockman Mace, and husband Randall, of Rockingham, and Kathy Lockman Taylor, and husband James, of Lincolnton; one brother, Charles Lockman, and wife Jackie, of Lincolnton; four grandchildren, Tyler Sharpe, Michael Sharpe, John Randall Mace, Jr., and Will Mace.
