Willie Mae "June" Humphries Hoover

Willie Mae “June” Humphries Hoover, age 87, of 3251 Bluegrass Lane in Iron Station, died on Wednesday, December 30, 2015.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2016, at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church with Dr. Danny W. Penny and Chaplain Mark McDowell officiating. Burial will follow in the Alexis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mrs. Hoover was born October 6, 1928, in Cleveland County, to the late Fred and Ruby Shytle Humphries. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Jack Darrell Hoover, a sister Dorothy “Bootsie” Lovelace, great-granddaughter Payton Dellinger, and granddaughter-in-law Tisa Dellinger. She worked in textiles.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna H. Dellinger, and husband Bobby, of Maiden; one sister, Jo McDowell of Iron Station; three grandchildren, Brandon Dellinger, and wife Andrea, of Maiden, Dustin Dellinger, and wife Kadie of Maiden, and Ashton Dellinger of Denver; and three-grandchildren, Sawyer, Braylon, and soon-to-be Colt.
