Andrea "Cissy" Self Anderson

Andrea “Cissy” Self Anderson, age 59, of 612 Alexander Street in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 31, 2015, at Boger City United Methodist Church with Rev. Joe Ervin officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Cissy was born March 29, 1956, in Catawba County, to David Lee Self and the late Margie Beal Self. She graduated in 1974 from Lincolnton High School and Charlotte American Business in 1976. Cissy married Dwight R. Anderson on December 2, 1989, who preceded her in death on September 24, 2008. She lived in Lincolnton, Statesville, and Maiden, working for Lowe’s Home Improvement from July 1977 to 2013 as credit manager. Cissy’s family was very important to her. She enjoyed travel and spending time with friends and family. Cissy cherished her longtime, loyal friendships, and had a special love for her feline companions, Bear, Chloe, Abby, and Little Boy.
She is survived by her brother, David D. Self, and wife Donna, of Lincolnton; her sister, Karen S. Hurt, and husband Jeff, of Lincolnton; father, David Lee Self, and wife Carol, of Lincolnton; mother-in-law, Gladys S. Anderson of Wilkesboro; stepchildren, Jason B. Anderson, and wife Pam, of Amissville, VA, and their children Levi R. Anderson and Annabelle Anderson, and Dana A. Gahagan, and husband Kyle, and their children Zoe Gahagan and David Gahagan; nieces and nephews Amanda Hurt Hilton, and husband Billy, and Jeffrey Hurt, II; great-nieces, McKinley Hilton and Hadley Hilton; brothers-in-law Walter Anderson and David Anderson and wife Janie, and Phillip Anderson, and wife Teresa; and sister-in-law Ann Reavill.
