William Farrel Hoover

Mr. William Farrel Hoover, age 93, of 4604 Flay Road in Lincolnton, died on Monday, December 21, 2015.
His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 27, 2015, at Messiah United Methodist Church with Rev. Kevin Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mr. Hoover was born May 10, 1922, in Lincoln County, to the late Hampton and Ethel Crouse Hoover. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Addie Sain Hoover. He served in the United states Army during World War II and then later was the General Manager of Gowen Oldsmobile.
He is survived by a daughter, Sandra H. Pilcher and husband Lewis Raymond of Florida; two grandsons, Gary Pitt and wife Chera, and Randy Pitt; and one great-grandson, Tyler Pitt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Messiah United Methodist Church, 4102 W. Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
