Rhonda Joann Helms Gillian

Rhonda “Joann” Helms Gillian, age 65, of 4854 Grassy Creek Road in Denver, died on Wednesday, November 18, 2015.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Marsha Joyner officiating. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 20, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Gillian was born March 22, 1950, in Catawba County, to Viola Mathis Helms and the late Eli David Helms. She retired from Broyhill Furniture, where she had worked for over 30 years, and was also a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Gillian of the home; a son, David Leonard Hight of Shelby; two daughters, Linda Jo Turner of Sherrills Ford and Elizabeth Diane Shook of Taylorsville; six brothers, Leroy Helms, Roger Helms, and Carroll Helms, all of Denver, Daniel Helms of Catawba, Gary Helms and Elvis Helms, both of Denver; five grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter, Brentlie Hight.
