Vera Lee Sims Gerkin

Mrs. Vera Lee Sims Gerkin, age 84 of Sifford Road in Stanley died on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Stanley Total Living.
Her family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Warlick Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held in Grafton, West Virginia and burial will take place in Bluemont Cemetery in Grafton, WV.
Mrs. Gerkin was born June 25, 1931 in Flat Creek, SC to the late Bill and Lula Sims. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ray Gerkin, Jr. She was retired from Blum.
Survivors include two sons, Mark Gerkin and wife Susan of Pumpkin Center, Danny Gerkin of Lowesville; two stepsons, William Ray Gerkin, III of West Virginia, Donald Leon Gerkin of Virginia; one stepdaughter, Helen Marie Smith and husband Ted of West Virginia; twelve grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
