Marcene Ewing Freeman

Marcene Ewing Freeman, age 82, of 2122 Dean Lane in Lincolnton, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, September 6, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Freeman was born August 7, 1933, in Lincoln County, to the late Ernest and Azalee Primm McConnell. She worked as a cook in the Lincoln County School System.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Freeman of the home; children, Donnie Ewing of Lowesville, Patti Duckworth of Lincolnton, Stan Ewing and Eddie Ewing, both of Denver, Myra Freeman of Dallas, NC, and Alan Ewing of Atlanta, GA; a brother, Perry McConnell of Denver; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
