Carla Nolen Hathaway

Carla Nolen Hathaway, age 54, of 2069 Rock Springs Circle in Denver, died on Thursday, August 27, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 31, 2015, at Denver Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Griggs officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 6:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Carla was born January 6, 1961, in Mecklenburg County, to Marcelyn Cloninger Nolen and the late Jerry Albert Nolen. She loved spending time with her family, and the outdoors.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Hathaway of the home; daughter Cara Marie Alexander of Denver; son Matthew Houston Alexander of Denver; brother Jerry Nolen, Jr. of Denver; sister, Julie Ballard of Denver; mother Marcelyn Nolen of Denver; three nephews; and one niece.
Memorials may be made to the East Lincoln Pregnancy Center, 4264 N. Highway 16, Denver, NC 28037, Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to the American Cancer Society, 1901 Brunswick Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28207.
