Roberta Helen Mae Nolen Sharpe

Roberta Helen Mae Nolen Sharpe, age 64, of 3757 Sugar Hill Road in Lawndale, died on Saturday, August 1, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at Blessed Way Baptist Church with Pastor Tommy Cook officiating. The body will lie in state for 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sharpe was born November 12, 1950, in Mecklenburg County, to the late John Albert and Mary Caldwell Nolen. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Brian Sharpe and Timmy Sharpe, two brothers Jerry Nolen and Charlie Nolen, and a sister Caroline Nolen. She worked as a cloth inspector for McMurray Fabrics.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Burette Sharpe of the home; a son, Jeremy Sharpe and wife Amy of Denver; three grandsons, Hunter Sharpe, Michael Martinez, and Joshua Martinez; three brothers, Norman Nolen of Iron Station, Larry Nolen of Denver, and Neil Nolen of Virginia; and four sisters, Mary Lee Lawson of Lincolnton, Carolyn Nolen Reel of Iron Station, Vanessa Nolen Costner of Cherryville, and Margaret Nolen Tallent of Crouse.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to Blessed Way Baptist Church Building Fund, 254 Falls Street, Lawndale, NC 28090.
