Clarence Cletus Hunt, Jr.

Mr. Clarence Cletus “CC” Hunt, age 76, of 1430 LR Schronce Lane in Iron Station, died on Tuesday, July 21, 2015.

His funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Lebanon United Methodist Church with Rev. Gary Fulker officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 11:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Hunt was born June 19, 1939, in Guilford County, to the late Clarence Cletus Hunt, Sr. and Mildred Virginia Snider Hunt. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hunt. He retired in 2001 from Gerdau Ameristeel. He then worked as a school bus driver for Lincoln County Schools where he was the School Bus Driver of the Year in 2014. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Bumgarner Hunt of the home; a son, Timothy Neil Hunt and wife Martye of Iron Station; a daughter, Ginny Hunt Pyne and husband Gary of Iron Station; a sister, Betty Jo Inscoe and husband Wally of Mooresville; five grandchildren, Aaron Pyne and wife Kate of Summerville, SC, Amanda P. Slone and husband Joey of Troutman, Sirkka Hunt of Iron Station, Kaylin Campbell of Waco, TX, and Kodi Campbell of Iron Station; and three great-grandchildren, Anna Pyne, Noah Pyne, and Owen Pyne, all of Summerville, SC.
