Jo "Joy" Elaine Anthony Carpenter

Jo “Joy” Elaine Anthony Carpenter, born September 15, 1936, passed away June 27, 2015, at the age of 78. She was under Hospice care at her residence in Lincolnton.
Receiving of friends will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Bethel Lutheran (NALC) Church, 509 Long Shoals Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. following receiving of friends. Burial will follow in Bethel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Martin Paul Carpenter; brother, Thurman Anthony, Jr.; sons, Terry Carpenter, Steven Carpenter, David Carpenter; grandchildren, Crystal Rudisill, Ashley Manus, Lacey Lingerfelt, Johnathan Carpenter, Michael Carpenter; and one great-grandchild, Caroline Lingerfelt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658, and/or Bethel Lutheran (NALC) Church, 509 Long Shoals Road, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
