John Crisley Fox, Jr.

John “Chris” Crisley Fox, Jr., age 49, of Lincolnton, died on Saturday, June 27, 2015.

His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2015, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerome Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Chris was born October 2, 1965, in Lincoln County, to the late John Crisley Fox, Sr. and Linda Dickson Fox.

Chris was in law enforcement briefly before embarking on his true calling – to be a stay-at-home dad for his two beloved sons, Kyle and Aaron. The joy he gave and received from that job was worth millions. His sons will never forget the countless hours they spent together and the numerous life lessons they were fortunate enough to learn from his wisdom. Chris had a kind, compassionate heart and frequently quoted that he “loved all God’s creatures.” His kindness towards others will always be remembered.

He is survived by his wife, Tara H. Fox of Hickory, two sons, Kyle Crisley Fox and Aaron Lee Fox, both of Hickory; two sisters, Debbie Fox Harvey and Johnnie Lynn Fox, both of Lincolnton; mother-in-law, Judy Matthews Hoke of Hickory; father-in-law, Glenn Hoke of Hickory; step-mother, Glenda Fox of Lincolnton; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer Pope and Tonya Deal, and husband Dickie, all of Hickory; two step-brothers, Greg Woodruff and wife Carla, and Monty Woodruff, all of Lincolnton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
