Sarah Childers Jenks

Sarah Childers Jenks, age 87, of Carolina Care Center in Cherryville, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at North Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Wise and Rev. Dr. Wade Dellinger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Jenks was born May 11, 1928, in Catawba County, to the late Sidney and Addie Schronce Childers. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Jenks, two sisters, two brothers, and a son Lenny Pendleton.
She is survived by her children, Terry Pendleton of Cherryville, Bobby Jenks and wife Denise of Cherryville, Wayne Jenks of Cherryville, Jerry Pendleton and wife Virginia of Fallston, Penny Huss and husband Jerry of Lincolnton, Rita Sronce and husband Gary of Cherryville; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
