Mable Ruth Heavner Cornwell
( March 20, 1922 - June 16, 2015 )
Mable Heavner Cornwell, age 93, of Lincolnton, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at home.

Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2015, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Butch Ross officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Warlick Funeral home.

Mable was born March 20, 1922, in Lincoln County, to the late Roy Lima and Blanche Carpenter Heavner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband James Fred Cornwell, sisters Avis Heavner Cornwell and Marjorie Heavner Stell, and brother Marvin Ben Heavner.

She is survived by her daughter, Beth Cornwell Ingle and friend Ricky Cooke; sister, Betty Auten; grandchildren, Anissa Ingle and fiancé Dave Cline, Keri Ann Ingle Clinton and husband Terry, Dustin Hester and fiancé Taya McCleod, Tammy Rhom; great-grandchildren, Ashley Norman, Emma Grace Clinton, Ansley Cline, Britton Hester, Sumer and Alisha Rhom; nephew, Mickey Cornwell; nieces, Sally Cornwell, Gloria Boron; and a very special sister-in-law, Doyleta Heavner.  

The family would like to thank Jessica and Judy from Advanced Home Care for their care and compassion. We are also especially appreciative to nurse Madessa with Catawba Regional Hospice, and to Dr. Robert Bundy and his staff of Lakeside Family Physicians.
