Mary Pauline Yanez

Mary Pauline Helms Yanez, age 83, of 18 P.J. McRee Road, Maiden died Tuesday, May 19, 2015.
Her funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Harris officiating. Burial will follow in the Cherryville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends form 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Warlick Funeral Home.
Mrs. Yanez was born on December 26, 1931 in Burke County and was the daughter of the late George and Dovie Kennedy Helms. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Julian Yanez, two sons Jerry Lewis Mayhew, Mike Mayhue and three sisters. Mrs. Yanez was retired from Cochrane Furniture in Lincolnton.
She is survived by three sons, Troy Mayhew and wife, Maryann of Vale, Danny Huffman of Hickory and Lee “Doodle” Helms and wife, Pam of Vale; one daughter, Brenda Mayhew Barnett of Maiden; one brother, Bobby Helms of Hickory; nine grandchildren, Chad Mayhue, Crystal Mayhew, Chris Mayhew, Michael Helms, Tony Helms, Shane Mayhew, Casey Barnett, April Helms and Robert Helms; eighteen great-grandchildren.
