Mark Steven Wojtal
( July 12, 1951 - May 6, 2015 )

Mark Wojtal, age 63, of Crouse NC, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 6, 2015. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeff Wilson officiating.  Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Warlick Funeral Home.

Rev. Wojtal was born July 12, 1951 in Albany, New York to Ruth Stewart Wojtal and the late Eugene Wojtal.  As a young man, Mark was an avid biker and enjoyed long rides through the scenic countryside of the Hudson Valley on his faithful BMW 600.  Mark and his wife married September 14, 1974 in Upper Saddle River, NJ and resided there and in New York State. Mark worked in the construction and insulation business.

Mark was active in lay ministry at the Warwick Valley Church of the Nazarene; he and his wife were also musicians in the praise band there - Mark, as a bass guitarist.  The family moved to South Charlotte, NC where Mark continued in his construction and insulation trades.  He answered the call to ministry while attending the Pineville Church of the Nazarene, completed the course of study through the Carolina School of Ministry and was ordained in 2007.  He pastored a church in Lincolnton, NC from 2002 until 2009 and was currently supply pastor while attending Kings Mountain Nazarene.  Mark worked in the accounting department of FleetNet America in Cherryville, NC.

Mark enjoyed the outdoors, was an avid reader and loved his family, his church and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  He was a humble servant, compassionate and loving.  He was a beloved, cherished husband, father, Papa, son, brother and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Carlyn Wojtal; a son, Will Wojtal and wife Wavie of Lincolnton: two brothers, Robert Wojtal and his wife Eve of Greenfield Park, NY and Todd Wojtal of Albany, NY; a sister, Kathy Langer and husband Michael of Delray Beach, FL; one granddaughter, Ava Brooklyn Wojtal; two step-grandchildren, Kylie Wilson and Joseph Wilson; and his mother Ruth Stewart Wojtal of Albany, NY.
