James Ray Lutz

Mr. James Ray Lutz, age 75, of 6844 Sain Milling Road in Vale, died on Thursday, March 26, 2015.
His funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, 2015, at North Brook Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Dellinger and Rev. Bob Wise officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:30 until 3:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Lutz was born August 15, 1939, in Lincoln county, to the late Hugh Clifton and Vera Hull Lutz. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lutz. He worked at Vermont American-Bosch Tools for 47 years and retired to farm and do beekeeping. He also enjoyed amateur radio and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth White Lutz of the home; two sons, Dwight Lutz and wife Tina of Vale and Michael Lutz of Vale; two brothers, Thames Lutz of Vale and Farrel Lutz and wife Evelyn of Vale; a sister, Sharon Lutz of Vale; and two grandchildren, Caleb Lutz and Lindsey Lutz.
Memorials may be made to the North Brook Baptist Church Building Fund, 7241 Flay Road, Cherryville, NC 28021.
