Martha Bost Powers

Martha Bost Powers, age 96, of the Brian Center in Lincolnton, died on Thursday, March 19, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2015, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gwen Cobb officiating . Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Powers was born April 30, 1918, in Cabarrus county, to the late Vernon and Ada Shue Bost. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Harold Powers, and six sisters and three brothers. She worked as a nurse.
She is survived by three sons, Donald Wayne Powers of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Michael Eugene Powers of Hickory, and Larry Alan Powers of Denver; one daughter, Carolyn P. Smith of Marietta, GA; a brother, Harold Bost of Fayetteville, GA; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
