Elmer S. Earle
( July 14, 1932 - March 17, 2015 )
Elmer S. Earle, age 82, of the Brian Center, and formerly of Iron Station, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.

His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at Pearl Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Tim Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Iron Station Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Earle was born July 14, 1932, in York, SC, to the late Marion Lacy and Hettie Avis Johnson Earle. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife Betty Horne Earle, two sons Jack Maurice Earle and David Bradley Earle, and two grandchildren David Earle and Jeremy Colin Earle. He served in the United States Army and then later worked as a supervisor in textiles.

He is survived by two sons, Stewart Lacey Earle and Robin Dale Earle, both of Iron Station; a daughter, Sharon E. Stroupe and husband Dean of Iron Station; five grandchildren, Shelly Vineset and husband Robert of Gaffney, SC, Megan Long and husband Jason of Denver, and Bradley Earle of Iron Station, Russell Stroupe and wife Deana of Denver and Ross Stroupe of Mt. Holly; and four great-grandchildren, Jackson Long, Audrey Long of Denver, Robert Vineset, Jr. of Gaffney, Hayden Earle of Iron Station and Payton Styles of Lincolnton, Wyatt Stroupe and Ellie Stroupe of Denver.
