Lois Elizabeth Goins Brooks

Lois Elizabeth Goins Brooks, age 93 of Gastonia Highway in Lincolnton went to be with her Lord on Monday, March 16, 2015.
Mrs. Brooks was born August 1, 1921 in Lincoln County. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cannie Edgar Goins and Ruth Yount Goins. She was also preceded in death by her husband Troy Jefferson Brooks, a son Bobby Lee Brooks, and grandsons, Robert Lee Brooks and Timmy Dale Brooks, Sr.
Her funeral service will be 2:00p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2015 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home.
Lois was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother for 93 years. She was a homemaker, caregiver and peacemaker for many.
She is survived by three sons; Troy Eugene Brooks, Sr., Johnny Cecil Brooks and Danny Wayne Brooks; brother, Robert Goins of High Shoals; grandchildren, Bobby Eugene Brooks, Sr. and wife, Karen of Iron Station, Johnny Brooks, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Lincolnton, Jimmy Brooks of Lincolnton, Jeffery Brooks and wife, Cindy of Maiden, Troy E. Brooks, Jr., Tony Brooks and wife, Tonda of Lincolnton, Shirley Ann Ball of Mooresboro, Terry Brooks and wife Becky of Iron Station, Tina Brooks Culver of Morganton, Danny Wayne Brooks, Jr., Nick Brooks and wife, Jessie of Cherryville; 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
