Joan Dellinger Ballard

Joan Dellinger Ballard, age 82, of 4774 E. Highway 150 in Lincolnton, died on Monday, March 2, 2015.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2015, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Randy Setzer, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Mrs. Ballard was born February 1, 1933, in Lincoln county, to the late Ottis and Gertrude Drum Dellinger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Allen Warren Ballard. She worked for Winn-Dixie.
She is survived by a son, Allen Warren Ballard II, of Newton; a brother, Ken Dellinger of Lincolnton; a sister, Blonnie Travis of Boger City; and two grandsons, Marty Ballard and wife Tina of Gastonia, and Ritchie Ballard of Hickory.
Memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 4352 E. Highway 150, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
