Edna Inez Foster Carpenter, age 93 of Lincolnton died Sunday, January 11, 2015.

Her funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Riverview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Carpenter was born January 8, 1922 in Cleveland County. She was the daughter of the late Clarence Anderson Foster and Della Caroline Davis Foster. She was preceded in death by husband Charles Henry Carpenter. Mrs. Carpenter worked in textiles and was a loving homemaker for her family.

She is survived by son, Henry Darrell Carpenter and wife Phyllis of Gastonia; daughter, Vickie C. Elmore of Lincolnton; sister, Hazel F. Suttles of Atlanta; grandsons, Henry Derek Carpenter, Charles Anders Carpenter and Patrick Kane Elmore; five great grandchildren.
