Kenneth Ray Saine
( June 26, 1930 - December 13, 2014 )
Mr. Kenneth Ray Saine, age 84,of 2256 Story Street Lincolnton, died on Saturday, December 13, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at Boger City United Methodist Church, with Rev. Joe Ervin and Rev. Eric Reece officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Lincolnton. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service at the church.

Mr. Saine was born on June 26, 1930, son of the late Austin Theodore and Mary Ada Clark Saine. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Christine Abernathy Saine, a brother, William Saine, and a sister, Jean Schrum. He served in the United States Navy on the USS Salisbury Sound during the Korean War and upon his return, was the co- owner of Boger City Cleaners. He was the past president of the Salisbury Sound Association, was a retired fire chief of the Boger City Fire Department and served on the Board of Directors, was a member of the Boger City Fire Department for 50+ years, was post commander of the Lincolnton VFW, and was a member of Boger City United Methodist Church.

Survivors include: one son Dwayne Kenneth Saine and wife Karen of Tuxedo N.C; two daughters Malia Walker and husband Roger, and Paula Link and special friend Jimmy Elmore, all of Lincolnton; son-in-law Dean Link; special friend Karen Johnston; two brothers, Gerald Sain and Ted Sain, both of Lincolnton; and eight grandchildren, Austin Saine, Jason Saine, Merideth Saine, Kelsey Morgan, Kendall Ward, Jamie Walker, Chris Walker, Dena Link, and two great grandchildren John Austin Ward, and Allie Long.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boger City Fire Department, or to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Donita Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
