Mr. William “Bill” Troy Johnson, age 72, of 5244 Macedonia Church Road in Vale, died on Wednesday, November 12, 2014.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Forest Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Tim Lane officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2014, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson was born March 1, 1942, in Cleveland County, to the late Leroy and Maude Beatty Johnson. He worked as a lineman for Duke Energy before retiring after 32 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Sisk Johnson of the home; one son, Terry Johnson of Petrolia, TX; one daughter, Rita K. Johnson of Granite Falls; three brothers, Ronnie Johnson of Hickory, Michael Johnson and Johnny Johnson, both of Lincolnton; four sisters, Rachel Ballenger and Reba Goodson, both of Lincolnton, Sue Cardarelli of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Carolyn Howard of Clemson, SC; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
