Obituaries

Bobby passed away on 11/4/2014 after a long battle with Parkinson’s and a short battle with pneumonia. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and patriot! He loved God, his family, and his country. He retired from the Air Force after 21 years service and from the VA Hospital. He loved fishing, golfing, gardening, and being around his family. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann of 59 years, his son Bobby and his wife GiGi, his grandson Brandon (a US Army veteran), Brandon’s wife Robin and their two children Brody and Rowan. He is also survived by his older brother Phocian Sampson of Nashville, TN, his sister Valeda Sampson of Mt. Juliet, TN, numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved pet Oscar. He now goes before God to build a home for us in Heaven, as he did here on earth. He will be missed but not forgotten. May God bless the faithful. Receiving of family and friends will be held from 1:30 until 2:30 pm followed by a graveside service at Forest Lawn Cemetery on 11/07/2014 at 3 pm.
