William Lee Lawson, Jr., age 71, of 940 Guy Heavner Road in Lincolnton, died on Saturday, November 1, 2014.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014, in the Beth Haven Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends graveside following the service.

Mr. Lawson was born August 19, 1943, in Los Angeles, CA, to the late William Lee Lawson, Sr. and Virginia Pearl Smith Lawson. He served in the United States Navy and then later worked as a contractor.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Lawson of the home; four sons, William Lee Lawson, III and wife  Vicki, and John M. Lawson and wife Tonya, all of Lincolnton, Paul D. Lawson and wife Stephanie of Iron Station, and Timothy J. Lawson and wife Mandy of Lawndale; one daughter, Kimberly Ann Baker and husband Glenn of Vale; three sisters, Ginger McManaway of Reno, NV, Linda Lester of California, and Betty Spears of Texas; fifteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
