Ruby Lee Bollinger Thomas, age 92, of 1025 E. Lincoln Street in Lincolnton, died on Tuesday, October 14, 2014.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 16, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walt Windley officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2014, at Warlick Funeral Home.

Mrs. Thomas was born April 2, 1922, in Clover, SC, to the late William and Maude Neil Bollinger. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Lewis Thomas, a son, Jimmy Thomas, sisters Lee Bollinger, Overa Kelly, and Berthie Chapman, and a brother, Arlis Withers. She worked in textiles.

She is survived by two sons, Gene Watkins and Harold Thomas, both of Lincolnton; a daughter, Kay Carrigan of Lincolnton; half-sister, Audrey Allen of Maiden; half-brother, Billy Bollinger of Lincolnton; nine grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Angie Towery, Mark Thomas, Dusty Thomas, Jamie Keever, Wanda Johnson, Ricky Watkins, Mary Ann Watkins, and Tammy Watkins; fifteen great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
