Obituaries

Judy Lail Rice, age 67, of 300 Cherry Street in High Shoals, died on Wednesday, September 24, 2014.

Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 27, 2014, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Tommy Ferguson and Rev. Chris Doster officiating. Burial will follow in High Shoals Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Rice was born November 3, 1946, in Gaston county, to the late Lawrence and Irene Abernathy Lail. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Rice, Sr., a son Todd Lineberger, three sisters, and three brothers. She worked in textiles.

She is survived by her children, Angela Lippard and husband Daniel of Dallas, Bobby Joe Rice, Jr. and wife Pamela of Hudson, Jennifer Rice Goins of High Shoals; daughter-in-law Joy Lineberger of Concord; and seven grandchildren, Joshua Beam, Trey Rice, Lindsey Lineberger, Allie Goins, Conner Lineberger, Chase Lineberger, and Alexis Beam.
